Glue Can Fix Anything!

We made an unscheduled stop at the Urgent Care today after Ella slipped on clothes on her floor and sliced her eye on her bed. It didn't require stitches but it was "glued" shut with purple glue! We are so thankful it wasn't worse! This time last year, Patrick had 4 stitches above his eye after running into a board.

Patrick

The other day in the car, we were discussing the new baby. Ella mentioned she would hold the baby crossing the street because the baby would be too little to crawl. Patrick had a question of his own:
Will the policeman give us a ticket if we leave the baby on the side of the road?
ME: Patrick, we would NEVER leave the baby on the side of the road.
Patrick: Yeah, but if we did, would the policeman give us a ticket?
Me: No, he would not give us a ticket.

(Maybe haul us off to jail, but no ticket)

Ella's Baby

Yesterday, while eating lunch at a restaurant, I took Ella to the bathroom twice, which is very unusual for her. The second time she told me her tummy hurt (she had just ate a ton of chips and salsa) and she had to go potty. So off to the bathroom we went. I let her into the stall by herself and after a few minutes I asked her," Are you ok,Ella?"
"Yeah, my baby was just telling me I had to go potty real bad."

Which is the excuse I have been telling the kids when they say to me,"You have to go potty, AGAIN!?"

Finally....Florida!

We had such a wonderful, relaxing time in Florida. My kids are the best travelers ever! We got to go to the ocean 3 different days and each day, the wavers were bigger. We enjoyed getting knocked over repeatedly by them. We also got to eat on a large pirate ship, which, as you can imagine, the kids loved. Thanks to Uncle Mike and Aunt Elana for the balloon sword and balloon parrot. Patrick got a personal tour of the Air Force Base from Uncle Mike who has almost completed his training there in Florida. They were gracious hosts to us and we enjoyed seeing them. We can't wait for the safe arrival of little Micheal William in a little over a month.

Summer Storm

A quick summer storm came through yesterday, hail, wind and all. Thankfully, no real damage was done.
